Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque & Centre Launches a Series of Lessons on the Life of the Prophet of Mercy Mohammed (PBUH)

The Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque & Centre launches a series of lessons on the Life of the Prophet of Mercy to coincide with the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). The lessons will run from 16 December 2016 to 12 January 2017.  

Sheikh Dr Fares Al-Mustafa, Religious & Cultural Adviser, Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque & Centre said, “The life of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) teaches us many things. It is a good opportunity to remind ourselves of important values, like respect and tolerance, that can be drawn from the Prophet’s life.”

The timetable of events includes a lesson on the Teachings of the Prophet by Sheikh Dr Fares Al-Mustafa and a cultural evening to comprise of speeches, chants, poems and competitions. In addition, there will be programme designed for visitors and non-Muslims to learn about the Prophet Mohammed and Islam in general as well as an engaging programme for school children.

Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Manager, AFMC, added "Al Farooq Mosque and Centre always embraces religious events, and especially the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) which initiates the right meanings of coexistence. The importance of this event lays within being a response to the extremists who are distorting the message of the Prophet (PBUH)."
