Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre in Dubai organised a national event entitled “Hisnatuk Biasm Allah Ya Watan: The UAE is a Homeland Built with Determination and Preserved through Loyalty – A Foundational Islamic Perspective”, with the participation of a distinguished group of scholars and preachers, and notable attendance from members of the community. The event formed part of ongoing efforts to enhance public awareness of the values of belonging and loyalty, and to reinforce the concepts of security and stability in the United Arab Emirates.
The event commenced with a welcoming address delivered by Abdul Salam Mahmoud Al Marzouqi, Managing General of Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre, who affirmed that the safety and security enjoyed by the UAE are, by the grace of Allah, the result of the vision of a wise leadership that has established the foundations of stability and prosperity, supported by the efforts of the security services and armed forces in protecting the nation’s achievements and safeguarding its accomplishments. He stressed that supporting national initiatives reflects a firm belief in the role of community institutions in building individuals and strengthening national identity, emphasising that preserving the security of the state is a collective responsibility requiring unity between leadership and society.
The event featured insightful scholarly discussions, during which His Eminence Sheikh Dr Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Haddad, Grand Mufti and Director of the Fatwa Department at Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, explained that the blessing of security is among the greatest blessings for which gratitude is due. He affirmed that safeguarding nations can only be achieved through sincere faith, diligent work, and social cohesion, noting that the achievements of the UAE are the product of a deeply rooted vision and conscious leadership that has placed people at the forefront of its priorities.
For his part, Sheikh Dr Fares Al Mustafa, Imam and Khateeb of Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque, emphasised that love of one’s homeland is a deeply rooted value in Islam, citing examples from the Prophetic biography that demonstrate the profound connection to one’s homeland. He noted that maintaining security begins with individual awareness and extends to the cohesion of society through rejecting rumours and confronting destructive ideologies.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Darwish Al Marzouqi also highlighted that the UAE has become a global model for tolerance and coexistence, hosting more than 200 nationalities in an environment characterised by peace and security, reflecting the success of the country’s leadership approach in building a cohesive and prosperous society.
The event also addressed the concept of “fortifying the nation” as an integrated system based on reinforcing religious values, strengthening national belonging, and raising awareness of the risks that threaten societal stability, while emphasising the importance of combating rumours and attempts to sow division.
The event concluded with the highest expressions of congratulations and loyalty to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the Rulers of the Emirates, together with prayers for the continued blessing of security and stability upon the nation and its protection from all harm.
