Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Quran Awards & The Sunnah

Introduction

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“All praise be to Allah Who says: “We have sent down the Qur’an Ourself, and We Ourself will guard it.” [Surat Al-Hijr: 9]. Perfect peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad who said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.” [Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. The Qur'an honours both time and place; the night when it was sent down as a whole from the Preserved Tablet above the seventh heaven to the lowest heaven is “The Night of Glory”. Imam As-Shafi’i said: “Whoever Learns the Qur'an by heart earns an elevated status and whoever learns Hadiths (Prophet Muhammad’s Sayings) by heart possesses strong arguments.” Hence comes Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor’s Award of the Qur'an and the Sunnah to engage the young in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace be upon him).
